Resultant magnitude
When several people's planetary positions are averaged, the average can be meaningful (everyone's Venus clustered in one part of the zodiac) or meaningless (planets scattered evenly, canceling out). The resultant magnitude measures which: 1 means perfect alignment, 0 means total scatter.
Lovecartography computes it per planet on every couple and group chart and lets it govern the map — strong signals draw normally, weak ones draw dimmed or not at all, with the individual lines doing the work instead. It's the honesty mechanism that keeps a group composite from sounding more confident than the math allows.
