Aspect
Planets relate to each other by angle around the zodiac: conjunctions (together), trines and sextiles (easy angles), squares and oppositions (hard angles). These relationships — aspects — describe whether planets work with or against each other in a chart.
On the map, aspects matter because a line inherits them. A Jupiter line backed by easy aspects delivers more cleanly than one entangled in hard ones; and in synastry, the aspects between two people's charts are the chemistry a location can amplify.
